Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays from HUR Australia

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays from HUR Australia

At the end of this week, we will close our office for the Christmas and New Year holidays and will open again on January 5th, 2026. It has been a great year working with the best people and with great projects; we look forward to sharing all the stories from the new sites in the new year.

Before we close our doors, lets us have a quick look at the New Year 2026.

Leaders Summit, Sydney

Our first conference for the year will be the Leaders Summit to be held in Sydney on March 24-25, to discuss the future of aged care, home care, and retirement living.

With many executives as speakers, Leaders Summit will present many knowledgeable conversations on the business models, challenges, and innovation strategies that will drive the industry in the next few years.

Positive Ageing Summit, Adelaide

In May we will head to Adelaide for the Positive Ageing Summit. Last year’s inaugural conference was a great success and has lead to everyone waiting for PAS26 to continue the conversation! The Summit will bring together industry leaders, pioneers and emerging innovators, to inspire, collaborate, share evidence-based strategies, and empower participants to achieve better outcomes in aged care.

The program for the Summit is coming together fast and the first speakers have been announced. I am very excited to announce that the first keynote speaker is Professor Maria Fiatarone Singh from the University of Sydney. Professor Fiatarone Singh was one of the original researchers to investigate and provide evidence of the benefits of strength training to the health, function and wellbeing of older adults. She has continued her research for many decades now, providing us with the knowledge on the exercise prescription to ageing well, such as the two research papers I discussed in my last blog.

National Retirement Summit, Brisbane

In June we will head to Brisbane for the National Retirement Summit by Property Council Australia.

Next year’s conference is titled “Navigating the changing landscape of the retirement industry”. This conference always has a great lineup of speakers, with a wide range of conversations providing knowledge.

We are planning of publishing two Newsletters in 2026 and I have already started writing content. Please let me know if you wish to be included in our Newsletter – we love sharing the stories from our clients! For inspiration you can read our latest Newsletters here.

There are so many great projects to present next year, we will be sharing them in our publications.

Now it is time for some rest and recovery, time to slow down and spend time in the outdoors with our families and friends.

We want to wish you all a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, and hope that you all will enjoy the festive season with your loved ones. We look forward to seeing you all in 2026!

Best wishes,
