World Physiotherapy Congress 2023

HUR is proud to be a partner of the World Physiotherapy Congress, this year held at the Dubai World Trade Centre, on June 2-4.

This year celebrates the 70th anniversary since the first congress was held in in London in 1953. This congress brings together the global physiotherapy professionals to share ideas, research, practice, education, policy, and service innovation.

The World Confederation for Physical Therapy (WCPT), is the sole international voice for physical therapy, representing more than 600,000 physiotherapists worldwide through its 129 member organizations.

With the last conference held in 2019, this will be an exciting conference and a chance for everyone to catch up after the absence of international meetings.

During the expo, HUR will have Open Doors Training at the stand K1, during 11am-5pm daily.

We will discuss all recent innovations and updates in the HUR product range.

On site you can learn more and try out the updated Hi5 strength training equipment and the new look Smart Balance, as well as the software updates for testing and training purposes.

With researchers and team members from Finland and Australia, we are also planning a seminar where we get to share the latest news on strength and balance training, especially discussing the training effect for cognition, falls and sarcopenia.

Please let us know if you are interested in taking part!

I am very excited that I get to join the global team HUR to share our Australian experiences, at the same time learning from the developers, whilst exploring all the new research and clinical practice from physiotherapists around the world. I hope that I get to meet many of you in Dubai!

Best wishes, on behalf of HUR Australia,
Dr Tuire Karaharju-Huisman
Physiotherapist, Accredited Exercise Physiologist (ESSAM), PhD (Biomechanics)
Research Lead, Area Account Manager (Vic, Tas, SA)
